I'm tired of a lot of things. I'm tired of my older cat puking on the carpet. I'm tired of the younger cat begging for people food and telling our new neighbors that she goes to bed hungry. She doesn't. I'm tired of moving one pile to another in order to finish moving. I'm tired of gas logs. I want to burn real wood like a pioneer.
But I am a news junkie and I use several sources to get my news. I'm tired of the gatekeepers at the mainstream media. I like making my own decisions and I hate how liberal the press has become even more than ever before. I'm tired of the global warming debate. However, I love how the myth has been exposed. I didn't hear this on the mainstream media though. I had to go out and find this on my own. I'm tired of high unemployment. I'm tired of our government trying to spend our last dime. I'm tired of war in general and I'm tired of hearing about anything Somalian. I'm tired of the current real estate market. We bought a house last year with thousands of dollars of instant equity and it is all gone already. I'm tired of Sarah Palin, but I'm even more tired about the millions of people that are going around scrutinizing and bitching about her every move.
I'm tired of Congress. I can't stand Robert Gibbs. His scolding to a reporter yesterday made the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up. I'm tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. There are more important things in life.
I'm mostly tired of being forced to be politically correct. I have never been one of those persons that openly tried to offend any race, creed, color or religious choice. I don't hate all Muslims and I don't go around using the N word or any other racial term. But if I cry foul that Ron Artest is bragging about drinking Hennesey at halftime in the locker room, I would like to do it without being called a racist. I really want to know how he was able to pull this off and why nobody noticed it before now. What was he trying to accomplish by sharing this with us? I'm tired of Pac Man Jones and Terrell Owens. I don't care if I never see either of them on my TV.
I'm tired of the SEIU and ACORN. I'm tired of Chicago style politics. I want Al Gore to give back most of the money that he made on global warming scare tactics. Now that we discovered the truth about true info being destroyed, I want him to give back his Nobel Peace Prize. I haven't heard from Al yet, he seems to be inconveniently quiet right about now.
I'm tired of hearing about Czars. This whole breach of security at the State Dinner is tiresome indeed. If we can't rely on the Secret Service, then who can we trust? Seperation of power, how convenient.
Yeah, I'm all over the place and randomly ranting. I must be tired. But I'm really only about halfway done. I think this is a good stopping point though. You must be tired, but having moved 3 times in roughly 4 years...I can relate to that tired. My question is...where's the button to post your blog to FB? Now that's what concerns me! Kel
ReplyDeleteI'm also tired about most of the same things, but with some important distinctions.
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming - the "myth" has not been exposed. Some bad behavior by a couple of fools has been exposed. Last time I checked, the ice shelf hadn't reattached itself to the antarctic, nor the snows stopped disappearing from Mt. Kilamanjaro. The evidence of warming is still overwhelming. The evidence that it is greatly if not mostly caused by human activity is likewise impossible to dismiss.
Regarding the mainstream media, I've been sick of them for years. But I'm tired of people denouncing the MSM and pointing only to the left-leaning outlets. I'm sick to death of FOX News and especially all of their talking heads; Hannity, O'Rielly, and most of all, that whiney, crybaby, displaced morning zoo jock, Glenn Beck.
I don't mind taking a swipe at ACORN, SEIU, or even the ACLU at times. But I'm at least as sick of Christian Voice, Focus on Families, the Moral Majority, the Traditional Values Coalition, etc.
I'm tired of people pointing to one extreme and heaping blame and anger on them alone. It's the polarization of America that is damaging our country. It's the left AND the right who need to shut their mouths, tone down the rhetoric and stop treating fellow Americans as enemies.
Sneeral; I'd first like to address your last statement, there are those on both sides of politics that need to settle down & I agree. Personally, my interest in politics only gained traction around 9/11, as I was interested in our country's reaction to a terrorist act. I like Fox News, Sean Hannity, & Glenn Beck, (btw-I watch Glenn @ 5:00 pm) I am assuming you to be liberal by your comments and would love to understand the clear hatred for America's system of values. I mean, values aren't given to us by Hollywood or their rep like Michael Moore. They were however given to us from the Bible, God's written Word, and that has been an established fact. (i.e. 10 commandments so often despised by the left). You say you are sick of Christians & their associations, but why exactly? I see the hatred for Christians, your desire to remove God from American education, buildings, pledges, money and now even memorials to war veterans! It is the fuel to the hatred of Sarah Palin, who embodies these values, love of God, country, life, military, etc. The global warming issue being propped up by Al Gore has had this coming-I seem to remember rumors of a coming ice age a few yrs ago...Maybe there have always been 10 yr shifts to the climate & we; the American tax payer, shouldn't have additional taxes imposed as a result of God's design for this earth, maybe? Acorn, well...lets face it-it is corrupt; as is SEIU and the ACLU. My bigger concern with the direct O wants to take this country, a clear socialist agenda. Some libs are honest enough to admit that; but those in DC are clearly covering that in hopes that the many poorly public school educated stiffs who voted for him, will also be needy enough to fall for anything. Average business owners, doctors and people of all stripes agree-this administration is not attempting to fix the economy or healthcare. Growing govt on the backs of Americans, who btw are still losing jobs-stating that we must "spend" our way out of this recession, has never & will never work. When Govt grows, it requires tax payers to support growth. We are currently on a fast track to being owned by China as we speak...why? Simple answers to all these problems...tort reform, drill here & now, CUT TAXES TO ALL PPL, and stop choking Americans from dreaming, creating, inventing & sharing! We deserve to give to our children, the same America we grew up in. Other countries may not like us-that's ok. America's greatness draws critics like kids on a schoolyard...but no other country does more for the world! That, I wouldn't change...in fact-lets give our new found "change" to them too!LOL Sorry to be so windy-just TIRED I guess! Kel
ReplyDeleteLike I said earlier Kel, you would enjoy many of Sneeral's thoughts. He knows how to call a spade a spade. He can be quite critical, but that is what I like about him. He keeps you on your toes and makes you dot your i and cross your t.
ReplyDeleteWe don't agree on everything, but I would never call him a liberal. I would call him a pragmatist.
It's been a while since I checked in here. I don't know if this response will be seen by anyone. But, just in case...
ReplyDeleteKel, I take it as a good sign that you label me as liberal, verging on anti-American. Southpaw can testify that in the forum where we met, I was most often accused of being a right-winger. That must mean that I'm still thinking independently and for myself! I like Southpaws designation as pragmatist. You and I wouldn't get along very well, Kel, if you believe that the Bible is God's written word and an established fact. I do tend to have issues with people who accept anything dogmatically. If there is a God, he endowed us with brains to think for ourselves, not to accept the words of men written thousands of years ago and translated numerous times.
Your prescription of simple answers betrays a simple mind. I understand the emotional comfort believing such things brings, but I'm afraid that the world is quite a bit more complaex than you give it credit for.
